The Hummingbird’s Daughter

Cover Redesign

The Hummingbird’s Daughter highlights a passionate and rebellious young woman who has arisen from death with a power to heal. In keeping with the religious connotations expressed throughout the book, I referenced stained glass, a sketch of a hummingbird, and plenty of white space to convey spirituality and the unknown.

Design Concept

Because of the religious connotations displayed in the book, the image making for this cover included deconstructing an image of stain glass window as well as a sketch of a hummingbird. With religious themes, the stain glass plays tribute to the devotion of the main character and the power of faith.
